The most local level of representation is the Community Council.  There are currently around 1200 community councils in Scotland, all composed of elected volunteers from the community.  A third of our members are elected each year, and the term of office is three years.

The role of the Community Council is twofold:

  • To find out the views of local people, and bring them to the attention of Perth and Kinross council and other public bodies such as the police.

  • To do anything practical for the benefit of the community

Additionally we are statutory consultees on planning and licensing. Click here to find out more about our role in the planning process.

We meet on the second Monday of each month at the Town Hall at 7pm - all welcome.
